Its more then 10 years since our first visit to Vista Hermosa but we are well and truly hooked. We have had a stay in the beautiful Oceanfront Suite but our favourite is the Captains Quarters as we now can't come without friends. We always come in the fall when Tofino is quieter and we are always surprised at the beauty of the area. We have had everything from wild and stormy to balmy summer weather. We love it no matter what the weather as Vista Hermosa offers us the best in comfort and relaxation.
We love the views and we never get bored watching the boats, planes, eagles and wonderful sunsets. Add to all that the hot tub under the stars at night. We couldn't ask for anything more and hope to continue returning year after year.

Two years ago, our first visit to Vista Hermosa just left us speechless. This time we pulled ourselves together to express what we feel :) If Vancouver Island is a beautiful sea shell and Tofino is a stunning pearl in it - then Vista Hermosa is that little golden grain of sand from which it all starts. We never felt like it is a vacation rental, it always seemed to be one of a kind and only for us. We think this is the best impression possible, and you successfully achieved it. We wish you the best of luck, as apparently you have everything else, we are sure your business will prosper and we will be coming back!

For two months I've had clinical depression. Just before this trip, my doctor wanted to have me hospitalized before I hurt myself. I felt life was just not worth living until my stay here. It's not just the view, or the luxury of Vista Hermosa, but the company. On the first day, I sat on the porch with my best friends in the world and realized how beautiful life can be. I admired them as they admired the view and thought about how fortunate I am to have such wonderful people to share this amazing experience with me. My doctor thought IӤ loose control during this trip and tried to stop me from coming. I canӴ imagine regretting anything anymore.

An awesome whale watching trip, beautiful seaplane experience, fantastic barbeque, watching the sun go down on the deck and of course, looking up on a clear starry night from the fantasy hot tub. This really is an amazing place. On our three week honeymoon, weӶe seen Niagara Falls and traveled through the rockies, but nothing beats Tofino! We hope to be back again. Best wishes

No alarm clock by the bed-a perfect indication that we would be relaxing and resting. We thought we heard whales splashing outside when we were in the hot tub on Saturday evening. UhƗhat can we say? Everything we needed after the trip from Whistler. Arrived at 8:30 pm. And were immediately relaxed by the setting, tranquility, hot tub etc. Very impressed with the size of the beer fridge! Special mention should go out to the builders who helped us to extract the maximum from each day by starting work on the stairs outside the bedroom window at 7:00am every morning : ). Despite that, this is probably our favorite place after 5-6 visits to Tofino. We canӴ wait to come back.

Nice diversion from the normal hectic pace of life. Seafood every day all dayƹum! Mucho wildlife sightings, taking the guided tours are the way to go for "first timers" to find. Then feel free to explore from there. Nice digs, perfect for the crew. The view of the water with the islands and mountains as a backdrop put me in a chill of mud the whole week. Just what I needed after a frantic first year in the pacific NW. Itӳ starting to grow on me, and the only TV station showing NCAA football had my on state Buckeyes featured, so I guess IӬl be back next year! Thanks!

What a perfect view from our suite! The accommodations were everything imagined. WeӶe thoroughly enjoyed Tofino and the surrounding beaches and area, including kayaking, and of course, the hot tub..a bonus! Thank goodness it rained and the water restrictions were lifted. As far North by northwest weӶe ever traveled and definitely worth the trip! Spent an entire day whale watching & bear watching and while disappointed to not run into any orcas we did see some gray and black bear cubs. It was the highlight of our afternoon. Shops and galleries better than any weӶe encountered back in Victoria last week. Tonightӳ out last night. WeӬl spend it watching for the sign of the whale from the hot tub. P.S. my husband promises to take me back here. I just hope it does not take another ten years! I enjoyed spending our tenth anniversary in the BC!

Dear Barbara & Desmond, We spent 3 wonderful days in this nice flat. We enjoyed the beautiful view, the sun and the atmosphere of Tofino. We made an exciting tour to Meares Island and thought "this must be paradise." The schooner fish restaurant is the best we have experienced. We saw a black bear who stood on his back feet to pose for us. All in all a great experience. We were the first to use the BBQ grill and the steaks coming off it were excellent! As we have not seen all the nice spots at Tofino yet, we will come back!

We had a wonderful week here; despite warnings from friends, we didnӴ need the waterproofs at all! Six days of bright, clear sunshine with only small foggy interludes. The air is great and the views truly memorable. The comings and goings of the seaplanes and the boats in the harbor below made a small 5 year old boy truly happy! We all enjoyed a whale watching trip and saw humpbacks, orcas, and sea lions. We really hope to come back one day!

Great place, all the comforts of home but with a beautiful view. What was even nicer was that I was still able to watch the soap operas on movie central.
The time was really too short to enjoy Tofino, but the sample visit was a foretaste for more.
Absolutely stunning! I have lived in some amazing places, like the Rockies, Okanagan, Victoria, and I would trade it in for all this. Vista Hermosa is certainly a rare find in Tofino. This is our third vacation in this great town, and this place certainly is the cherry on top and much more. So glad we found it. The kitchen rocked! BBQ was great. Hot tubbing, first thing in the morning. And right on into the night! Thanks so much, this is our place the next time we come to Fino.
Everything we needed after the trip from Whistler. Arrived at 8:30 pm. And were immediately relaxed by the setting, tranquility, hot tub etc. Very impressed with the size of the beer fridge! Special mention should go out to the builders who helped us to extract the maximum from each day by starting work on the stairs outside the bedroom window at 7:00am every morning : ). Despite that, this is probably our favorite place after 5-6 visits to Tofino. We canӴ wait to come back.
Excellent spot; peaceful place... Saw two bald eagles flying over and a ruffus humming bird just below the decking. Enjoyed sea kayaking with remote passages. Cheers!
We canӴ say too much about how wonderful our stay was. The comfortable spacious, spotlessly cleaned house. So welcoming & intimate. And the amazing view- the hot tub. We feel totally at home as we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. Time actually stood still. Our only regret is that we canӴ stay longer but we feel just lucky and grateful to have discovered Casa Hermosa.

Even hailstorms and rain showers couldnӴ hinder a great relaxation vacation. Loved the raw beauty mixed all the comforts of civilized living. There is nothing like waking up & jumping into the hot tub with a cool rain, except jumping into it with a cool beer in the afternoon, evening or night. A great way to spend the day! Thank you!
Wonderful views and location. Really appreciated the fireplace and heater in the bathroom after a cool, rainy day outside. Thanks for all the food supplies as well, very handy.
Nice diversion from the normal hectic pace of life. Seafood every day all dayƹum! Mucho wildlife sightings, taking the guided tours are the way to go for "first timers" to find. Then feel free to explore from there. Nice digs, perfect for the crew. The view of the water with the islands and mountains as a backdrop put me in a chill of mud the whole week. Just what I needed after a frantic first year in the pacific NW. Itӳ starting to grow on me, and the only TV station showing NCAA football had my on state Buckeyes featured, so I guess IӬl be back next year! Thanks!

We had a great time mostly relaxing. The snow was unexpected which enhanced the spectacular view of the sound from here. Thank you for the paying attention to little details that made our stay much more enjoyable. WeӬl definitely be back.
What a perfect view from our suite! The accommodations were everything imagined. WeӶe thoroughly enjoyed Tofino and the surrounding beaches and area, including kayaking, and of course, the hot tub..a bonus! Thank goodness it rained and the water restrictions were lifted. Most our tip was sunny and fabulous.
As far North by northwest weӶe ever traveled and definitely worth the trip! Spent an entire day whale watching & bear watching and while disappointed to not run into any orcas we did see some gray and black bear cubs. It was the highlight of our afternoon. Shops and galleries better than any weӶe encountered back in Victoria last week. Tonightӳ out last night. WeӬl spend it watching for the sign of the whale from the hot tub. P.S. my husband promises to take me back here. I just hope it does not take another ten years! I enjoyed spending our tenth anniversary in the BC!

What an amazing place! The apartment is perfect and the view from the hot tub superb. Good places to eat-Schooners, the Rainforest and Shelter- and donӴ miss lunch at Sobo in the botanical gardens. All the beaches are wonderful, but our favorite is Florencia Bay. Love the Canadians-we will certainly be back!
Excellent accommodations and superb views across bay. Lots to see and do but whale watching the best. The hot tub was an excellent way to relax at the end of the day.
Killer whale sightings from the porch-awesome! Jamieӳ gave a great bear watching tour complete with dolphins & whales and bears!

What an amazing experience we have had here in Tofino. Whale watching, surfing, hot springs etc. A great place to stay with wonderful views.
Perfect setting for our honeymoon-very relaxing hot tub, superb local marine life fab dinners served with correct wine of course!! Would really recommend this setting even if not on a honeymoon.
Great fun trying to surf with "Live to Surf." Fun time in Zodiac with Adventures Pacific-great ride, but difficult to spot the whale(whale watching better in Telegraph cove) but ride was exhilarating. Fishing with Jim Shanks 726-8426-reasonable fishing for a bad day. Great position of apartment and the views spectacular. Cold beer recommended on a hot day. Would love to come back sometime.

Dear Barbara & Desmond, We spent 3 wonderful days in this nice flat. We enjoyed the beautiful view, the sun and the atmosphere of Tofino. We made an exciting tour to Meares Island and thought "this must be paradise." The schooner fish restaurant is the best we have experienced. We saw a black bear who stood on his back feet to pose for us. All in all a great experience. We were the first to use the BBQ grill and the steaks coming off it were excellent! As we have not seen all the nice spots at Tofino yet, we will come back!
We arrived in the middle of the night, exhausted, after our long drive. But we were delighted to find ourselves in such a beautiful apartment. Even better, we woke in the morning to find such a wonderful view. Everything we wanted. Thank you, we'd love to come again!

This is our last day after four days. This was just what the doctor ordered. A month would have been great! Sign up for surfing lessons at surf sisters. Eat seafood, Drink Australian wine and avoid the move channel. Let go and relax, Great Place!

Visiting Tofino is something I can now cross off my list of "things to do before I die." While we loved the "Tofi experience," it was enhanced even more by the Vista Hermosa experience. They are together a full package! Loved the view, sunshine, warm breezes, and food! This place has definitely everything to make stay comfortable no matter what the weather is like. We enjoyed the hot tub, view, BBQing and convenience of having all amenities so close.
What a wonderful and cozy place you have here. The view is spectacular and the front row center view of Canada Dayӳ fireworks was the highlight of our trip! We enjoyed our stay and loved the hot tub (must get one!) Thanks for your hospitality.
We had a wonderful week here; despite warnings from friends, we didnӴ need the waterproofs at all! Six days of bright, clear sunshine with only small foggy interludes. The air is great and the views truly memorable. The comings and goings of the seaplanes and the boats in the harbor below made a small 5 year old boy truly happy! We all enjoyed a whale watching trip and saw humpbacks, orcas, and sea lions. We really hope to come back one day!

Even the cloudy and foggy weather didn't damper the pleasure we had staying at Vista Hermosa. The view's are fantastic and the amenities, such as the binoculars and videos, were like icing on the cake. Expect to see us back again.
